About Us
Fran Lo
Fran Lo brings over 25 years of experience developing and leading community-engaged learning and leadership education programs across higher education and nonprofit organizations, including the University of Washington, Brown University, and the YMCA Earth Service Corps. Fran is committed to creating inclusive learning, practice, and reflective spaces that support the development of effective, compassionate, and socially just leaders working in and with their communities.
Fran holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and an M.A. in Marine Affairs from the University of Washington, and a B.S. in Aquatic Biology from Brown University.
Jeff Birdsall
For over 30 years, Jeff Birdsall has led trainings and facilitated educational programs for national service programs, nonprofits, and universities throughout the country. He works with individuals and organizations to deepen understanding of intersecting identities, strengthen teams, and develop the skills needed to work toward more equitable and inclusive communities.
Jeff has directed two AmeriCorps programs, The Northwest Service Academy and The Youth Volunteer Corps, and co-founded a youth service program, The Wilderness Volunteer Corps.
Jeff holds a B.S. in Environmental Education from Lesley University/AEI and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Naropa University.
